A cake recipe for all foodies:

* For 1 loaf pan 30 cm long:

Separate 5 eggs into egg whites and yolks. Beat the egg yolks with the whole egg, the honey, the juice of one lemon and the lemon zest until creamy.

Add the aniseed and flour and fold into the mixture. Grease the loaf pan. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks and fold into the batter. Pour the batter into the pan and bake on the middle rack of the oven for 45 minutes. Cool the cake a little, then turn it out onto a cooling rack and let it rest for 12 hours.

Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.

Cut the cake into 30 slices, place them on the ungreased baking sheet and roast on the top rack of the stove for 7 minutes.

Our tip: For the good success of the pastry it is important to stir the meringue as long as possible. You should allow yourself 20 minutes.
