For the apple and cheese pie, roll out the short pastry and preheat the oven to 220°C degrees. Place one half of the dough in a pie dish and cut off the overhanging edges. Peel and core the apples and cut them into slices.

Mix the starch flour with the ground cloves, sugar and apple slices. Put half of the mixture on the pastry base, cover with the cheese and spread the second half of the filling on top.

Place the second roll of short pastry as a lid on the apples and cut off the overhanging edges. Brush everything with milk and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 180 degrees and bake for another 25 minutes until the apple and cheese pie is golden brown.
