Instructions:

For the apple crumble cake with custard cream, first mix butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon zest and eggs for the dough. Mix flour with baking powder and stir in.

Spread the dough in a greased springform pan, slightly higher at the edges. For the custard, make the custard according to instructions, but with reduced milk (250 ml). Spread it on the cake dough.

Cut apples into small pieces and mix with lemon juice – put on the custard. For the crumble, work through all the ingredients with your hands until small lumps form.

Sprinkle the crumble over the apples. Bake in the oven on the lowest setting at about 170 °C for about 1 hour.
