For the apple dumplings, peel the apples and cut into small cubes. Mix sour cream, vanilla sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, raisins and grated lemon peel and put into a pot and bring to a boil.

Add the apple pieces and bring to the boil again. Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves and stir in the semolina. Stir the mixture until it is thick and creamy.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the mixture into a bowl to cool. Stir yogurt into the semolina mixture. Whip cream until stiff and fold into semolina mixture.

Leave to set in the refrigerator for about 1/2 hour. Cut out dumplings and place on small plates and serve with fruit puree.
