Coarsely grate the peeled and cored apples. Mix with sugar and cocoa, infuse for 2 hours with the lid closed. Blanch (scald) raisins, drain. Cut figs into cubes.

Mix flour with baking powder, add all remaining ingredients and knead into a dough. Fill the dough into a loaf pan. Bake in a heated oven at 175 degrees for about 75 minutes.
