Apple Strudel From Puff Pastry

Instructions:

1. place dough sheets against each other, defrost. Spread a tray with parchment paper. Bread almond kernels. Rinse raisins, drain. Peel apples, quarter, core, cut into thick wedges. Mix with almond kernels, juice of one lemon, sugar and raisins.

2. place dough sheets on top of each other. Roll out into a square (approx. 43 x 43 cm) on a little flour and place on the baking tray.

3. heap apples on the lower third of the dough, leaving a margin of about 3 cm all around. Separate egg. Brush edges of dough with egg white. Fold dough over apples. Press together at the sides and wrap a little bit. 4.

Bake in a hot oven (electric oven: 200 °C / convection oven: 175 °C / gas: level 3) for about half an hour. Stir egg yolk and whipped cream, brush strudel with it. Bake at the same heat for another 15 minutes. 5.

After baking, let strudel rest for about 10 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve with vanilla sauce.
