A cake recipe for all foodies:
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (gas: level 4) in good time.
Put the mixed fruit in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with sugar, add water.
Cook in the heated oven at 180 °C with the lid closed for about half an hour, until the fruit is soft and the juice has taken on a syrupy consistency.
Variations:
Before cooking, add 1/2 cinnamon powder, gingerbread spice, tsp or grated nutmeg, or vanilla sugar, grated lemon or orange peel.
