A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Cream the butter with vanilla sugar, sugar, eggs and pinch of salt until thick. Mix flour, oatmeal and baking powder, add the chopped walnuts little by little. The dough should not be too firm, so fold in a little milk as needed. Cut the well drained apricots in half and fold them into the dough.

Spread the dough on a greased baking tray and bake at 200 to 220 °C, middle shelf, for about 30 minutes. Mix the powdered sugar with the juice of one lemon and coat the cake while it is still warm.
