For the apricot cake, cream the sugar and butter with the egg. Add the flour mixed with the baking powder and salt to the egg mixture.
Pour the batter into a greased springform pan. Wash the apricots, cut them in half and remove the stone. Press the apricot halves into the dough with the inside facing up.
Prepare a glaze from whipped cream, sugar, egg yolks and almond flakes and spread over the apricots. Bake the apricot cake for one hour at 200 degrees.
