Instructions:

Cut the melon in half and remove the seeds.

Remove the flesh from the first half of the melon and mash it with half of the lemon juice and half of the sugar. Add the rum to taste. Leave to cool until serving.

Cut the flesh of the second half of the melon into cubes. Cut the plums or possibly damsons in half, remove the seeds, then cut into quarters. Rinse the blackberries briefly after they have cooled and drain on kitchen roll. Halve the nectarines, remove the seeds and cut into cubes. Put all these ingredients in a large enough bowl. Add the remaining juice of one lemon and sugar and mix thoroughly.

Immediately before serving, arrange the fruit salad in glasses or possibly bowls, pour melon sauce over it and sprinkle with pistachios. Serve immediately.
