A great variation of the Bacon Bomb is the Bacon Turtle. It’s also a real feast for the eyes! For the bacon net, just follow the instructions here: Step-by-step instructions. Make the whole thing just a little smaller in size. In this case, work with 4 strips of bacon.

When the net is ready, prepare the body of the Bacon Turtle.To do this, mix the mince well with the spices and then lay flat on a kitchen board. Sprinkle BBQ seasoning over it once more. Place the cheese slices on top, place the egg on top and wrap well with mince. Mimic the physique of a turtle.

Now wrap the turtle in the bacon mesh and sprinkle with BBQ seasoning.

Cut the sausage at one end to simulate the turtle’s feet and head.

Insert the head and feet into the Bacon Turtle.

Prepare the grill for indirect heat and grill the Bacon Bomb at about 130 °C for one hour with the lid closed.

Once the Bacon Turtle has reached a core temperature of about 75 °C, you can enjoy it!
