Banana Yogurt with Homemade Yogurt

Heat the milk to 45 °C in a saucepan. Mix in the yogurt and pour the amount into the yogurt jars of the yogurt machine. Place the jars in the yogurt machine. Let the yogurt rest there at 42-54 °C for 4-8 hours. It is possible to make yogurt without the machine using a covered baking dish, but the yogurt mass needs a constant heat to sour and thicken the yogurt (e.g. keep the water bath between 40 and 50 °C). Immediately when the yogurt is thick, place the yogurt in the refrigerator.

Stir the finished cooled yogurt with the banana pieces and fold in the sunflower seeds just before serving. Season to taste with a little sugar and juice of a lemon. If you like it sweet and want to save sugar, you can also mash some of the banana slices!

Tip: Use creamy natural yogurt for an even finer result!
