Try this delicious cake recipe:

Dough: Beat egg yolks, marzipan and 125 g sugar together. Beat butter and 50 g sifted maizena (cornstarch), beat egg whites and gradually stir in remaining sugar. Mix the three whipped masses together and finally fold in flour and remaining maizena (cornstarch). Preheat the grill of the oven. Place a 26 cm ø springform pan on a baking sheet with a baking mat, brush a layer of batter and bake under the broiler, then continue baking layer by layer. The mixture makes about 14 layers. Do not take breaks between the layers. After baking, cool the cake.

Surface: Roll out the marzipan to the size of the cake surface and form a marzipan roll for the edge. Brush the surface with apricot jam and cover the entire cake with the rolled out marzipan. Melt and temper the couvertures on a water bath. Place the cake on a cake rack and cover with the dark cooking chocolate. After the cooking chocolate is set, use a hot kitchen knife to mark each piece on the surface.

Using white cooking chocolate, pipe a B for Baumkuchen on each cake piece.
