Instructions:

Peel and chop the onion, roast in the lard until light brown, add the diced apples and sauté briefly.

Add the red cabbage, the bay leaf, the cranberries and the soup powder, stir well and pour in the water.

Stew until the apple pieces have cooked through. This takes about 15 minutes.

Serve the red cabbage as a side dish.
