Try this delicious cake recipe:

Cream butter. Beat eggs in warm water bath until creamy and stir into butter alternately with flour. Stir through with crème fraîche and salt.

Bake the batter in batches in a greased waffle iron.

Mix powdered sugar with vanilla sugar and sprinkle well over the freshly baked waffles.

Serve with strawberry, orange or cherry sauce and whipped cream.
