For the Buchteln, grind the wheat very finely, place in a large bowl and make a well in the center. Mix the yeast with the sugar and some of the lukewarm milk, add to the flour and let rise for about 20 minutes.

Mix well with the rest of the milk, honey, salt, cinnamon and vegetable margarine to a smooth dough, let rise for about 30 minutes. Knead again, form about 8-10 dumplings and place side by side in a greased baking dish.

Let rise again for about 20 minutes in a warm place, pour 125 ml. lukewarm milk mixed with vanilla sugar over the dumplings and bake covered for about 40 minutes at 200°.

If necessary, top with a few flakes of butter 5 minutes before the end of the baking time. The tubular noodles should be lightly browned and the milk absorbed.
