For the butter cake, preheat the oven to 150 degrees. Cream the eggs with 1 1/2 cups sugar and vanilla sugar.

Stir in the buttermilk. Combine spelt flour and baking powder and stir in as well.

Line a baking tray or 2 small cake pans with baking paper or grease them and spread the batter on them. Top with fruit and bake for about 15 minutes.

For the icing, melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and water and mix well, then fold in the flaked almonds.

Spread the almond glaze evenly over the batter and bake the butter cake for another 10-15 minutes at the same temperature until golden brown.
