Instructions:

For the buttermilk bread, knead all the ingredients well. Let the dough rise until doubled in volume, then knead well again by hand and place in a raffia bread basket or loaf pan.

Bake at 200 °C top/bottom heat for about 30 minutes. Remove the bread from the basket and place on a baking tray. Bake for about 30 minutes. During baking, place a bowl of water in the oven.

Sprinkle the buttermilk bread with water after baking.
