Instructions:

Peel off the cabbage leaves until you have a heart about the size of your fist. Cut this into slices. Cut the leaves into pieces, flattening the thick ribs. Chop the onion into small pieces.

Heat a small amount of oil in a casserole. Lightly fry the onion and bacon cubes, lift out half and add the cabbage leaf pieces. Extinguish with the soup, season with caraway seeds to taste and place the cabbage slices on top. Cover and steam on medium heat for about ten minutes.

Brush a baking dish with the remaining oil. Pour in the sliced cabbage, top with the slices and pour the soup over the top. Cover and place in the middle of the 180 °C stove and steam for twenty minutes.

Stir the remaining bacon and onion mixture with sour cream and spread evenly over the cabbage. Put the dish back in the stove, uncovered, and bake for ten to fifteen minutes.

Garnish with parsley before serving.

Serve with roast veal, pork chops, cutlets, sausages, ribs, potatoes in shells and boiled potatoes, long grain rice.

Our tip: Use a deliciously spicy bacon for a delicious touch!
