Cauliflower Broccoli Vegetables

Instructions:

Discard the stem end of the cauliflower and remove both the firmly attached larger and smaller leaves. Divide the head into roses, rinse and drain.

Rinse and drain the broccoli. Remove the leaves. Separate the roses from the thick stem, shorten the stems a little, score them crosswise and remove the peel only from the stems.

Clean and finely dice the carrots. Cut ham into strips.

Bring salted water to the boil in a large saucepan and cook the cauliflower florets for 3 minutes. Now add the carrot cubes and the broccoli roses and cook together for another 7 minutes. Drain and drain.

Preheat the stove to 200 °C.

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and sauté until light. Add whipping cream and milk, stir constantly and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the cheese, season and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Place the vegetables in a gratin dish, sprinkle with ham and pour the cheese sauce over them.

Bake in the oven at 200 °C (gas: level 3, convection oven: 180 °C ) for 15 min until crispy.

Tip: It’s best to use your favorite ham – then your dish will taste twice as good!
