For the cheese and bacon scones, preheat the oven to 220 degrees and grease a large baking sheet. Fry the bacon cubes in a pan and let cool.

Sift flour, baking powder, pepper and salt into a bowl. Mix the margarine and mustard with the flour mixture to form a crumbly dough. Add the bacon and 100 g of the cheese and mix everything well.

Then add the milk and knead everything on a floured work surface into a soft dough. Form the dough into a ball and divide it into two halves.

Flatten each ball to form a circle about 2 inches high. Cut each circle into six equal pieces. Brush the top of each piece with milk and sprinkle with cheese.

On the baking sheet, the scones must have enough space between them, if in doubt, better prepare two baking sheets.

Bake the cheese and bacon scones in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until risen and golden brown.
