For the cherry chocolate muffins, mix yogurt. In a second baking bowl, mix together the dry ingredients.
Add flour mixture to liquid mixture and fold in briefly. Pit cherries and cut in half, chop chocolate into pea-sized pieces. Fold in both at the end.
Divide the batter evenly among the wells of a muffin tin lined with paper cups. (Or grease, perhaps flour, and refrigerate).
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees on the middle rack for a total of about 25 minutes.
