For the chestnut-berry-marble-gugelhupf, start by beating the room-warm butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy.

Then separate the eggs and add the egg yolks one by one to the butter mixture. Also add the rum.

Mix flour with baking powder and stir into the butter mixture alternately with the chestnut puree.

Now first whip the cream and then also the egg whites until stiff and again fold into the mixture one after the other.

Pour a little more than half of the dough into a greased, floured cake pan. Stir the cocoa powder into the remaining batter and then spread on the light mixture. Now run a fork through the dough in waves to create the typical marble pattern.

Now just bake in the preheated oven at 175 °C for about 50-60 minutes.
