Instructions:

First blanch the tomatoes and cut them into small pieces. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Remove the seeds from the bell bell pepper and chili bell pepper and cut them into small pieces.

Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces.

Heat a large pot, pour in the olive oil and brown the beef thoroughly. Then add the onions and sauté.

Add the peppers, chilies and spices, salt and pepper. Add the tomatoes and mix with half of the garlic. Stir in the sugar and vinegar and season to taste. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Now cover the chili con carne and simmer on low heat for about an hour. Stir from time to time.

After 30 minutes, add the strained beans and corn and the remaining garlic. The chili should now thicken a bit with the pot open.

Before serving, season the chili con carne with beef to taste. If you like spicy food, mix in some sambal oelek and/or more chili pieces.
