For the chocolate-apple cake, knead a shortcrust pastry from flour, butter and powdered sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate flakes and an egg as well as the pinch of salt. In a greased cake pan, line a bottom and about 3 cm edge with it. Chill.

Peel apples and cut into slices, boil with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon stick and a little water. Remove cinnamon stick and drain. Poke the cake base and bake at 180°C in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes.

Then spread the cranberries or raisins on the cake base, add the drained apples on top and bake the chocolate apple cake for another 15 minutes.
