For the chocolate rice with pine nuts, in a saucepan slowly bring the milk to the boil with the wine, liquid whipping cream, butter, cinnamon, vanilla and a small pinch of salt.

Stir in the rice and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the liquid has been absorbed and the rice is tender.

Add a little wine or milk if necessary. Remove the seasoning sticks.

Cut the pine nuts into small pieces and stir them into the rice together with the chopped chocolate.

The chocolate rice with pine nuts can also be prepared without wine. Use grape juice instead. If necessary, sweeten with sugar.
