For the chocolate nut cake, first separate eggs and beat the yolks with butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff peaks form.

Melt the chocolate over steam. Add 2/3 of it to the butter mixture. Stir in nuts and breadcrumbs as well. Gently fold in the beaten egg whites.

Pour into mini-gugelhupf moulds or other small moulds (greased or made of silicone) and bake at 180 °C in the oven, preferably in a water bath, for about 10 minutes.

Lightly whip the whipped cream (not too stiff) and mix with the remaining chocolate.

Turn out the chocolate-nut cake from the ramekins, pour the whipped cream-chocolate sauce over it and serve.
