A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, stir until sugar dissolves and bring to a boil. Add the washed and sorted cranberries and make 10 min until the berries burst. Serve warm or cooled down.

Offer the compote with game, meat or poultry. Serve as a dessert with yogurt, vanilla sauce, whipped cream or ice cream. Or use as a cake filling or spread.

To freeze: Place package, unopened, in the freezer of the refrigerator. Before use, rinse the berries with cold water. Do not defrost. Cook frozen cranberries as you would fresh ones.
