For the cranberry jam, sprinkle the self-picked cranberries with the jelling sugar and puree briefly with a hand blender.

Then bring to the boil while stirring and simmer for about 4 minutes until slightly bubbling. Pour the cranberry jam into hot rinsed jars and seal.

Let cool upside down.
