For the cream casserole, separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat the yolks and butter until fluffy, then carefully fold in the cream and stiff peaks with the flour.

Pour the mixture into a greased and crumbled baking dish and bake for about 45 minutes at 180 °C until golden brown. Serve the cream casserole with compote.
