Instructions:

Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in the oven at 180 °C until golden brown (approx. 8-10 minutes). Remove and let cool.

Boil the milk with vanilla sugar.

Separate the eggs. Mix egg yolks with sugar and gradually add cornstarch, flour and water. Slowly add the evenly mixed mixture to the milk and cook until the cream is firm.

Remove the cream from the heat, whip the egg whites until stiff and fold into the warm cream.

Spread the cream on the dough and cover the cooled cream with the remaining dough.

Serve the cream slices cold.
