Instructions:

For the currant slices, prepare a short pastry from the ingredients and refrigerate.

Then roll out the dough onto a baking sheet and pre-bake at 180° C for about 10 minutes and then spread with currant jam.

For the topping, beat egg whites until foamy, add sugar and fold in lemon zest and currants. Spread the topping on the dough, sprinkle with nuts and leave to dry in the oven.
