Instructions:

Try this delicious cake recipe:

1. for the sponge cake batter, beat egg yolks with water and sugar with mixer with whisk on high speed until white foamy.

Beat egg whites with salt until very stiff and fold in.

2. mix flour with baking powder, sift half of it onto the egg cream and fold in briefly on lowest speed. Fold in the rest of the flour mixture in the same way. Fold in the walnuts.

Fill the dough into a cake springform pan (o 26 cm, bottom greased, covered with parchment paper). Place the cake on the baking rack in the oven and bake on the spot.

Top/bottom heat: 180 degrees (preheated)

Hot air: –

Gas: about level 3 (not preheated)

Baking time: about 30 min.

Remove the base from the pan, turn out onto a cooling rack and cool. Remove the parchment paper and cut the cake twice horizontally. 5.

For the filling, soak gelatin according to package directions.

Whip the cream until almost stiff. Squeeze the gelatine, let it melt and stir into the whipped cream. Whip the whipped cream until completely stiff. 6.

Chop the Daim bars and fold into the cream mixture. Spread the bottom sponge cake layer with half of the Daim whipped cream, place the second layer on top, spread with the remaining Daim whipped cream and place the third layer on top.

Spread the orange marmalade through a sieve and spread on the top layer, sprinkle with the ground Daim bars.
