Instructions:

For the Danube waves, preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Grease a baking pan and line with baking paper. Cream the butter with sugar and gradually mix in the eggs.

Mix in the flour until you get a smooth batter. Pour half of the batter into the baking pan. Mix the cocoa powder through the other half of the batter and pour the batter over the other half of the batter in the baking pan.

Spread the drained cherries on top. Then place in the preheated oven and bake until done, about 30 minutes.

For the vanilla cream, cut the vanilla bean in half and scrape out the pulp.

Heat a pot with half of the sugar and vanilla pulp. Add the egg yolks, remaining sugar, milk and flour and mix well. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes.

Cover with plastic wrap and let cool. Cream butter with sugar, gradually mix in the cooled cream. Spread the cream over the cooled cake and place in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to set.

For the ganache, melt the chocolate in a water bath and mix with the butter. Pour the ganache over the iced buttercream. Let it harden.

Then briefly pull through the waves with a fork. Then cut into 10 even pieces.
