For the dough, heat the syrup and sugar and stir well. Beat the butter, egg and egg yolks until creamy. Add the lemon zest, cocoa, spices and salt.
Next, mix the flour with the baking powder and gradually knead it into the mixture together with the Kölln flakes. As a last step, stir in the honey-syrup mixture and work everything together well.
Roll out the dough to 1/2 cm thick, cut out cookies and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven well and bake the sky messengers on the middle rack at 200 degrees for 8 minutes.
