Instructions:

Put the butter in a saucepan and add the cold milk.

Immediately remove the saucepan from the stove.

Put the salt, flour, sugar and dry yeast in a suitable bowl. Add the milk-butter mixture and knead everything together to form a smooth dough.

Dust the dough lightly with flour and cover with a clean dishcloth. Rise in a warm place for about 20-half hours.

Knead the risen dough repeatedly and divide into eight pieces. Form finger-thick rolls of 15 cm length from each piece.

Twist a wreath from each two rolls. (Grab the 2 strands at one end and twist them around each other.) Brush the wreath with a tablespoon of egg yolk whisked with water.

Place a dyed egg in the center of the wreath. (You can also use raw eggs, which have been beaten beforehand. However, there will be problems with dyeing).

Bake the Easter nests in the oven heated to 200 °C on the middle shelf for 15 minutes.

A nice surprise for Easter breakfast.
