For the elderberry liqueur, remove the stems from 2 kg of elderberries, grate them and boil them in 1.5 l of water. Pour through a linen cloth, do not squeeze the elderberries.
Add to the juice 1 kg of sugar, cinnamon bark, vanilla bean, cloves, cardamom pods and 1 slice of ginger and let this mixture boil gently for 1/2 hour.
Mix about 1 l of juice with 0, 7 l of grain, fill into bottles and seal the elderberry liqueur well.
