For the dampfl, heat the milk, stir in the yeast and sugar. Form a crater with the flour in a bowl, pour in the milk and mix with a little flour. Leave to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Then knead in the melted butter, rum and egg yolks until a smooth dough is formed. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.

When the dough has doubled in volume, roll out on a floured work surface to a thickness of about 2-3 cm. Cut out with a round cutter, press a hollow in the center and fry in hot sunflower oil until golden brown on both sides. Drain the doughnuts on paper towels.

Fill some apricot jam into the hollow and garnish with powdered sugar.
