Rinse and dry the plaice. Cut a pocket in the fish with a sharp knife on the white side, loosening the fish meat from the bone. Sprinkle with the juice of one lemon.

Clean the mushrooms, peel the tomatoes and dice them, mix with breadcrumbs and egg, add the diced ham, salt and pepper and the warmed butter. Fill the plaice with it.

Preheat the oven. Cover a baking tray with aluminum foil and place the meatballs on it. Cook in the oven at 200 °C for 15 minutes. Serve with plenty of lettuce.

Tip: Use your favorite ham – then your dish tastes twice as good!
