For the French fries, peel the potatoes, cut into finger-thick sticks. Dry the potatoes well with a kitchen towel. Heat plenty of oil in a frying pan, put in as many potato sticks as there is room for one on top of the other and covered by the oil.

After 10 minutes, evenly distribute the peeled garlic cloves between them. Drain the finished fries well on a paper towel. Sprinkle with salt and serve.
