For the tomato soup, put the olive oil in a large pot and add the tomatoes, onion, celery and garlic. Cover and cook over low heat for 45 minutes until everything is soft.

Stir occasionally during this process. Transfer the mixture to a food processor and puree. Strain the puree through a sieve into a clean pot.

Add the soup and bring to a boil, add the noodles and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
