Instructions:

For the pineapple chips, remove the skin from the pineapple generously and cut both ends into small pieces. Cut into 2 mm thin slices on a slicer or possibly with a vegetable slicer.

Spread 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and sprinkle each with 10 g powdered sugar. Place the pineapple slices close together and dust each with 10 g of powdered sugar. Dry in the heated oven at 100 °C (convection oven 15-20 min) on the lowest rack and 2nd rack from the top for 20-25 min. Turn the slices to the other side, change the baking sheets in the oven and dry for another 20-25 min (convection oven 15-20 min). Place on a wire rack and cool.

For the apple chips, rinse the apples and cut into 2 mm thin slices as described above. Remove the cores. Proceed exactly as described above, but dry each side for only 15 min. Also cool on a wire rack.

Keep the chips protected from moisture in a tin.
