Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (fan 180 degrees, gas mark 3-4). Beat the light butter and eggs until creamy, stir in the dietary nuts and ginger. Add the flour mixed with baking powder and the sour cream.

Using two tablespoons, place small, oblong doughnuts from the dough onto a greased baking sheet and bake for about 20 min. Sprinkle the doughnuts lightly with cocoa before serving.

Tip The fine tart ginger flavor becomes more intense if instead of the ground ginger the same mass of finely grated fresh ginger root is used.
