For the gnocchi vegetable casserole, first prepare the gnocchi according to the package instructions. Preheat the oven to 170 °C. Grease a baking dish.

Peel and finely chop the onion. Wash the bell bell pepper, remove the seeds and chop finely. Dice ham as well. Mix with tomatoes (including juice), eggs, whipped cream and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper.

Pour half of the mixture into the mold, add the gnocchi and top with the remaining mixture. Sprinkle with the cheese and bake for about half an hour.

Serve the gnocchi vegetable casserole garnished with fresh basil.
