Prepare a clear chicken soup for grandma’s soup pot.

Mix the egg yolks with the flour, milk and a pinch of salt and nutmeg and let it rest for about half an hour.

In the meantime, peel the carrots and turnips and cut them into small cubes. Also cut the bacon into small strips. Wash and finely chop the parsley. Peel the onion and chop it finely as well.

Fry the onions in a soup pot in a little oil until translucent, add the bacon and then the finely chopped root vegetables. Pour in the soup and simmer for 5 minutes. Now gradually drop the prepared batter into the soup (preferably with a beak jug). Bring to the boil briefly and serve Grandma’s soup pot garnished with fresh parsley.
