Instructions:

For the Gugelhupf, heat milk and 100 g butter together (lukewarm), if it has become too hot then let it cool down, otherwise it is too hot for the yeast.

Dissolve the yeast in it, knead it with the other ingredients for the dough and let it rise covered for about 45 minutes. Mix nuts and granulated sugar.

Melt butter for rolling. Grease the gugelhupfform with butter and sprinkle with gahackt almonds. Cut out the dough with a tablespoon and roll it first in the melted butter, then in the nut-sugar mixture.

Put the dough into the prepared cake pan, continue until the dough is used up, then cover and let it rise for about 40 minutes. Bake the Gugelhupf in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes.
