A great cake recipe for any occasion:

Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Cream together the sugar, light butter, eggs and vanilla sugar. Mix baking powder, cornstarch, flour and baking soda and stir into the egg mixture alternately with the yogurt and the advocaat. Whip the egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter.

Grease a cake pan with oil, pour in the batter and bake for about 50 minutes. Test the cake with chopsticks. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes and turn it out. Dust the completely cooled Gugelhupf with powdered sugar just before serving.
