For the Gugelhupf with pineapple, first cut the marzipan paste into cubes and mix with all the other ingredients using a mixer to make a batter. Cut the pineapple into small pieces and add to the batter.
Whip the egg whites until stiff, then fold them loosely into the batter. Grease a cake pan well, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and pour in the batter.
Bake the Gugelhupf with pineapple at 170 to 190 °C on the 1st rack from the bottom (in a fan oven at 160-180 °C) for approx. 50 to 60 minutes.
