Instructions:

Place ham slices in a buttered baking dish.

Remove the skin from the shallots and cut them into coarse pieces. Sauté in butter until soft. Add Madeira and white wine. Add gravy, cloves and bay leaf spice and simmer for five minutes. If necessary, season with a little salt and pepper.

Pour the Madeira sauce over the ham slices. Cover with aluminum foil.

Meanwhile, cook the ham steaks on the lowest rack of the oven heated to 220 degrees for about fifteen minutes.

Tip: Always use an aromatic ham, it will give your dish a wonderful touch!
