The beans are put on to boil with the bay spice in tap water. Meanwhile, fry the finely chopped onion in oil, add the garlic and the sauerkraut and stew. When the beans begin to soften, they are mixed with the stewed cabbage. Add sour vinegar, whipped cream, salt and sugar to the meat broth and thicken it with light roux. The meat broth is served with thin slices of sausage.

Our tip: Never cook beans covered, then they will be easier to digest.
